My question is,can't rappers be on the track and just do what they have to do without worrying about "stereotype" fans with the who killed who mentality? Why is it the fans of other genres will appreciate the good music in a collabo and forget who took who to school? I just think this is just a "Hip Hop wanna be syndrome" that only maturity and deeper understanding of Hip Hop could do away with.

Hip Hop From Uganda
I must say I’m very proud of the way indigenous Ugandan HIPHOP has made its mark here in Uganda and across the boarders! Does anyone remember the days when hip-hop struggled to get off its feet?! The days of BATAKA UNDERGROUND, KLEARKUT and Shad-rack’s hip-hop canvass! That time, fans and critics alike thought hip-hop was a domain for wanna be fellas…fellas who just wanted to be like the hip-hop stars they saw in western music videos! But the hip-hop maniacs did not give up! We had the likes of BABALUKU and ROCKY GIANT giving hip-hop a local touch;while the KLEAR KUT pack tried as much as possible to keep it English! Then of course came the GNL Zamba generation with platinum and Baboon and oh yes, was about to forget SAINT C.A! These guys kept on including those whose namesI’ve forgotten to mention! They stuck their heads up high even when things seemed hazy! But today, ladies and gentlemen;HIP-HOP turns out to be the savior of Ugandan music.Look at NAVIO and the entire NAVCORP arrangement, ma handsome gal KEKO, PLATINUM and the BABOONS, hip-hop is shining our colors up high! It is therefore no surprise that NAVIO is representing big time in CHANNEL-O music video awards. And yes, so is my handsome gal KEKO! Those of you, who thought hip-hop was a waste of time, think again because guys are taking into another level! Hip Hop forever...
